Dear Parents and Friends,
Tomorrow all students will take part in Wellbeing Day acitivities that will focus on teamwork, sharing, communication and fun.
Students may wear casual clothes and if they do, are encouraged to bring a small donation. All money donated will be given to the Flame of Love Orphanage in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Our school has been supporting this charity for a number of years now.
Last week we said goodbye to four students that took part in a short term study tour at St. Christopher's. Mia, Ling, Ryan and Felix spent a couple of weeks in our Years 3-6 classes and participated in all lessons.
Yesterday Mrs De Filippis and four of our senior students ventured to St. Bede's Secondary College in Bentleigh to take part in M Cubed - Marvellous, Magnificent Minds. The M3 Conference provided dayof extension for students who would benefit from not only academic challeng. This year’s theme was Sustainability and included innovative dance, philosophy, thinking and writing, and STEM. Please see the detailed report from Thinu on the Learning and Teaching page.
Michaelle Fan (Year 6) has been accepted into the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) Secondary School Program (2025). Enrolment in the VCA is highly competitive and we congratulate Michelle on her success. Michelle plays the flute and is talented in many areas.
A reminder to parents, please do not send your child to school if they are coughing or unwell.
If your child is coughing whilst at school, they will be given a mask to wear. If the cough is continuing, we will contact you to collect them.
There is so much winter illness going through the school at the moment, this is our best defence against spreading illness.
Thank you to our Parents Association who will be hosting a Father's Day Stall at school next Tuesday 27th August. Children are invited to bring along some money to buy a gift for their Dad, Grandpa or special person.
Please note that Friday 13 September will be a school closure day. No classes will run on this day. If you require Camp Australia Care, please register by the end of this week. See the attachement below for details.
Our assembly tomorrow will commence earlier than usual at 2:50pm. Our 3/4 B class will host the assembly and this will be followed by the Students of the Week and the drawing of the Parents' Association Raffle. All welcome.
To help avoid congestion on the school site at pick up time, please consider parking in Tambo Court and walking across the oval. This may work for some families and allow for a quicker departure from school.
The school's annual report can be found on our website or the link here.
If you have any concerns regarding your child, please see their teacher or myself.
Enjoy the weekend
