No need to re-register for activities from Term 3 that continue into Term 4. Please check with your co-curricular activity coordinator or coach. Some of these ongoing activities include Table Tennis Development, LEGO Robotics and Coding Club, and Chess Club.

Please ensure that students and parents/carers consult prior to registration in order to avoid duplicate entries and/or registering for activities that the student does not wish to participate in. The days of the activities are listed above to help you make a considered selection.

St Virgil's College is an all-inclusive school and will try to ensure all students that register will be able to participate in their chosen activity. Where numbers and/or resources dictate, selection trials may be required.

Further information regarding rosters, days (most are provided above), times, teams, and/or training details for the above Term 4 Co-Curricular Activities will be provided as soon as possible.

Sports Teams - Please Note:

The College will transport the students from Austins Ferry after school to their respective venues each afternoon via bus (except for sailing, where boys will walk from the College to the MEC). Parents/carers are to collect the students at the conclusion of their match or training.

Students are required to provide their own sport-specific uniforms (different from the official school day sports uniform), which can be purchased through the Uniform Shop. The Uniform Shop is open Tuesday - Thursday, 8.00 am - 4.00 pm, or can be contacted at 6249 3610 or st.virgils@midford.com.au.

It is a condition of participation in all sVc Sport Programs that students consistently meet the College's behaviour and academic effort expectations. Representing the College is a privilege, and ongoing participation in Co-Curricular Activities is subject to behaviour tracking and advice from Heads of House and College Leadership.

The 2024 Alex Gadomski Cup is over for another year. A massive thank you to everyone involved in putting the day together and raising awareness for the Alex Gadomski Fellowship in order to find a cure for Bone Marrow Failure.

A day like last Wednesday would not be possible without the generosity and willingness of The Hutchins School to collaborate and support such a fantastic cause. Thank you to the umpires, coaches, officials, staff, and lastly, the players for making the 2024 Alex Gadomski Cup memorable in so many ways. Max Giuliani

What a journey for Old Virgilian (2019) Maximillian (Max) Giuliani, who returned to Austins Ferry this week as an Olympic Swimming Bronze Medalist.

Max spent nearly an hour this morning with our entire Year 7 students and the SSATIS Swimming Team, recounting his days as a student and the hard work he has put into becoming an Olympian.

Staff and students peppered Max with plenty of questions which were answered with poise and great insight into his Olympic journey.

Well done Max.  The whole College community is extremely proud of you and thank you for inspiring our students.

SVC Rugby

sVc Rugby is certainly on the rise.

Appreciation must be shown to sVc staff members David Sanderson and Thymon Ventor for the work they have done for sVc Rugby this season. Their dedication, support and passion for the game have seen all of our boys grow and develop as both rugby players and teammates, with several also earning Tasmanian Rugby Union State selection.

Last Friday night in the U14's, alongside their teammates from Taroona, they walked away as Champions, beating Hutchins in an end-to-end, pulsating and high-scoring match.

Thank you also to the Taroona Rugby Club for welcoming our students with open arms and for all the assistance provided with coaching.

As quoted by one of our boys' parents: "This season was a testament to the true values of sVc—their determination to succeed and support one another, along with the respect they've shown towards umpires, their teammates, and opponents."
