Victorian Vice-President's Report

Wendy Powson - APF Victorian Vice President

As workforce planning for 2025 moves into full swing this term, the day to day workload, including the multitude of compliance activities still requires the full attention of principals. With this in mind, there is an independent review into Administrative and Compliance activities that is currently available for all staff to undertake, the information can be found in the School Update (July 30)

The review will be led by Katie Roberts-Hull who is the CEO of Think Forward Educators who has extensive experience in education in Victoria and overseas.

‘The review is examining the underlying drivers of administrative and compliance work in government schools and will provide advice on options to reduce and better manage this work. A final report is due to be provided to the Minister for Education by December 2024.’

If you and your staff do have some time to provide feedback, the information including ‘in person’ workshops and an online survey are available until the end of October.
