Grow, Harvest, Prepare, Share

Weeks 1 & 2 in the Kitchen                                    Garden.

Our Autumn Garden

A huge THANK YOU to our wonderful staff and families that helped with taking care of our school animals over the school break.

Thanks to Priscille, Nicole B, Kristy, Jessica,

 & Laura .

Its been a super busy start to term 2, with a lot of garden jobs and learnings covered.

We talked about the benefit of worms in our garden and our students enjoyed looking for  worm cocoons .

Our students have worked hard to harvest loads of olives and Jerusalem Artichoke.  Some ingredients we can use on our wood fire oven pizzas.

Last week we took time to remember our ANZAC story, we made Rosemary Bunches as a sign of remembrance.

Animal time is always a special time in the garden .  Our students enjoy taking care of our rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens and ducks. Our ducks have doubled in size and are loving their new water hole.

We are also looking for parent helpers to assist in kitchen or garden.  Parents from prep to 4s are happy to contact us to assist.
