What's happening in the Prep classes?

Prep News!

We’re excited to share that our Prep students have begun their structured literacy morning routines! Each day starts with engaging and purposeful learning, including the introduction of Little Learners Love Literacy Stage 1 sounds, which lay the foundation for strong reading and spelling skills. Students are also practising their handwriting, developing fine motor skills and confidence in letter formation. In addition, our Binome students have been exploring the French language, learning the Alpha’s and beginning to work with French syllables. It’s wonderful to see their enthusiasm as they develop essential early literacy skills in both English and French!

Buddy program

The Grade 5 and Prep Buddies had a wonderful time together this week, taking turns reading and sharing stories. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to bond, build confidence, and foster a love of reading in a supportive and engaging environment.
