Dear Parents and Caregivers
End of Term
Our students are almost ready for a break, as are our staff! Our students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6 have continued to work hard, play well and have fun along the way. I would like to congratulate all of our students on their efforts and achievements this term. All our staff at St Helena's Catholic Primary School work very hard to ensure that the best interests of our students are at the forefront of all that we do. I wish to acknowledge and sincerely thank them all for their commitment and efforts in what has been a busy term. Everyone is going to enjoy a well deserved holiday!
Interschool Swimming Team
Our Interschool Swimming Team has been in training before school this term, as they prepare for the Interschool Swimming Carnival next term. Thank you to Miss Myles, Mr McCormack, Mrs Johnson and Mrs De Carvalho for supervising at the pool on these training mornings and to our parents and caregivers of the team for your commitment to get them to and from the pool!
Holy Week
Thank you to the Year 2 to Year 6 classes and their teachers for preparing the Easter Liturgies throughout this week. We end the week with the Year 6 students leading us through the Stations of the Cross around the school grounds from 8:25am. All welcome!
Staffing
Ms Bec Mennie and Miss Ella Simkin will be leaving us at the end of this term. We wish them both all the best for the future and thank them for their contribution to the school this term. The process of finding a new Learning Diversity Coordinator and Special Needs Education Assistant has commenced. In the meantime, Miss Melissa Myles and Mrs Mary Tierney Dusenberg will coordinate all things Learning Diversity.
Easter Egg Raffle
Our Easter Egg raffle will be drawn on Thursday afternoon. Thank you to the P&F Committee and in particular Naomi Fogden for coordinating the Easter Egg raffle and to all who donated Easter eggs and purchased tickets.
Happy Holidays
On behalf of the staff, we wish all our community a Holy Easter and safe and happy holidays! We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday 29 April as we commence Term 2.
