Literacy & Dramatic Play

To extend our messy sensory play, we introduced Chia seed mud to the children and used it to act out the story of The Three Little Pigs. The Chia seed mud provided a fun, tactile experience as the children squished, squashed, and molded the mud while using plastic figurine pigs to bring the story to life. It was a fun way to remind the children that, just like in the story, sometimes we face challenges and get a little messy along the way, but that’s okay!

Agam - “I made a tower for the pigs.”

Adam - “These pigs need a wash!”

Airlie - “It’s really sticky!”

Jessica - “Hello, baby pig!”

Ariana - “It’s stuck to my fingers”

Reminders

  • Please follow the link sent via email to book in for a Learning Conversation in Week 11, with your child’s Lead Educator. This is a really important time to partner together and discuss goals for the remainder of the year. The Lead Educators want to meet with every family.
  • Sports Day is tomorrow at school. Children may wear a coloured t-shirt, socks, or ribbon (it doesn’t matter what colour, though if they have a sibling at school, it might be that colour). The Orange and Blue teams will head to the oval for Sports Day at around 10am for a while, and the Green team will participate in some ‘sports day’ events of their own from about 9am. Parents are welcome to come and encourage their child during this time.
