Year 6 Arcade Games
Year 6 students worked incredibly hard to design and create arcade games. They worked in their own time and even collaborated with each other from home to produce these wonderfully entertaining Arcade games. Families were invited to visit and play (at a cost of course!) on Tuesday evening and on Wednesday students across the school brought along gold coins to get the chance to play and win!
Not only is this a superb STEM project for the year 6 students, as well as being a highlight for the rest of the school and families, but it also serves as a fundraiser for the year 6 Canberra Camp. Funds raised from this project, the Bunnings BBQ on Sunday and the $1 for every lunch order on Thursday (donated by Annette in the canteen) go towards reducing the cost of the camp for the year 6 families.
Thank you to all involved.
Year 4 Narratives
YEAR 4 NARRATIVES
Students have been working hard in year 4. They were guided through the writing process, including planning, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing, to create engaging narrative texts.
Throughout the unit, they explored a range of literary devices and writing strategies to add rich detail, develop characters, create vivid settings, and build tension for their readers. Students also used a variety of resources to refine their writing and strengthen the impact of their stories.
We are incredibly proud of the creativity, effort, and perseverance students demonstrated throughout this process. Their published
narratives showcase their growing confidence as writers and their ability to craft imaginative and compelling stories.
Here are some examples of their wonderful work. We hope you enjoy reading their narratives as much as we enjoyed watching them develop their ideas and bring their stories to life.

Nominate a Year 6 student who is following in Fred Hollows’ footsteps
The Fred Hollows Foundation is calling for community members to nominate students for the 2026 Fred Hollows Humanity Award.
The Humanity Award celebrates Year 6 students who lead by example in their everyday lives, reminding us that no act of kindness is too small to be acknowledged. Nominations are now open and close 11.59 pm, Friday 24 July 2026. To nominate a student, go to Fred Hollows Humanity Award | The Fred Hollows Foundation AU | The Fred Hollows Foundation AU.
Each year, one outstanding nominee from each state and territory is selected as a Junior Ambassador for The Foundation. And every nominated student will be recognised with a certificate.
Specsavers will generously donate $50,000 on behalf of the Junior Ambassadors to help The Fred Hollows Foundation continue its work to end avoidable blindness globally.
