Special Education

A Great Start to Term 4!
Our Special Education team has kicked off Term 4 by proudly demonstrating our College values of Respect, Inspire, and Excel. We would like to congratulate the following students for their outstanding efforts and dedication, each receiving a certificate in recognition of their achievements.
Our College focus for Weeks 1, 2, and 3 is: “I will listen to messages carefully.”
Let’s all continue to embrace this focus and show respect by truly listening and engaging with one another.
Inspire – Listening to directions during lessons then completing his work.
Excel – Listening to messages.
Inspire – Demonstrating good behaviour and restraint.
Excel – Making good choices and having a positive return to school.
Excel – Riding the horse at RDA.

SM is an engaging and dynamic class that provides students with a wide range of learning experiences designed to promote both academic growth and personal development. Our program focuses on fostering students’ skills across multiple domains, including physical, sporting, and communication abilities.
Lessons are carefully tailored to meet the individual needs of each student, ensuring that every learner is supported in their areas of strength and development. Students participate in a variety of team-based and hands-on activities that encourage collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.
Throughout the year, students have taken part in exciting projects such as building robots and models, constructing with Lego, Meccano, creating sculptures, gardening and propagation and conducting a range of practical science experiments. These activities not only make learning enjoyable but also provide valuable real-world learning experiences.
In addition to academic learning, we place a strong emphasis on students’ emotional well-being and social development. The class has built a positive, supportive environment where students are thriving both individually and as a group. It has been a pleasure to see how well they have connected with one another and the remarkable achievements they continue to make.
