WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING! (1 of 1)

CLUCKINGHAM PALACE UPGRADES

Look at this fantastic work by students Will R and Ruby M. They organised a successful 10c can donation drive, collecting over 1,300 containers. The money being raised will directly fund some much needed upgrades to Cluckingham Palace, which currently houses our flock of chickens. The enhancements will also provide more room for more chickens in the future. Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far, the donation effort is an ongoing program so if you have any cans/bottles lying around please pop them in the collection bin located outside the DC.

HELPING THEM THRIVE IN '25 - THE PONG

At BHCS, our annual Ping-Pong-A-Thon is more than just a tradition—it's a way we come together as a community to fight for what's right.

On Thursday 18th September, our students, staff, and families from Kinder to Year 12 rallied together once again for a fantastic cause: raising funds to combat human trafficking and modern slavery in Southeast Asia. This powerful movement uses the fun of table tennis to make a serious difference. In fact, since 2016, our school community has contributed more than $180,000 to this incredible effort. Whilst we don’t have the total figure ready as yet - we anticipate this year to contribute a further $10K.

Our success this year was powered by a variety of fun events, including our sausage sizzle, student-run stalls, class-organised hampers, and family events. We want to thank everyone who donated to the hampers, bought a sausage, and joined in on the fun.

The Ping-Pong-A-Thon is a fundraiser that unites us and reminds us that, together, doing our part can make a difference in the world.

"He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love." - Ephesians 4:16

PE INCURSION MADNESS!

By Andrew Lockrey (PE Coordinator)

Over the last few weeks of Term 3, our school gym saw more action than a Marvel movie set.

Each year level from 7–10 had a go at some PE incursions, and let’s just say the energy levels were off the charts.

The Year 7's tackled gymnastics, discovering that cartwheels are easy until gravity gets involved. The Year 8's discovered that combat archery is a real thing —  safely firing foam-tipped arrows at each other in the name of education (and bragging rights). Their next session was a circus skills class, where students tried juggling and balancing plates. All valuable life skills for anyone planning a future in medieval warfare or clown school.

The Year 9's stepped into their very own self-defence training montage, learning to stay calm under pressure, strike a pose worthy of an action hero, and master the art of looking tough while wearing a school uniform.

Meanwhile, the Year 10's took on a full-blown Ninja Warrior course, swinging, crawling and climbing like caffeinated monkeys.

It’s been a huge few weeks of fun, fitness and laughter. Our students walked away with new skills, stronger friendships and a healthy respect for how hard it is to look cool while tangled in a crash mat.
