JOBS AT BHCS

2026 Maths & PE Teacher

2026 Secondary Teacher

2026 FEE SCHEDULE
Please find attached the 2026 Fee Schedule. As you will see, there has been an increase to tuition fees and to some levies into 2026.
We have also adjusted the sibling discounts. The decision for 2026 fees was made after carefully considering a broad range of factors within the context of our school, together with the increase in CPI in education, which has increased by 5.5% in the past 12 months.
During the process of determining our school fees, we have looked at the prevailing market rates for school fees in similar independent schools. This shows that fees at BHCS are extremely competitive and will remain lower than most of our competitors in 2026. We understand the financial pressure on many families and have therefore tried to keep increases to a minimum while balancing the ongoing budgetary impacts on the School.
For families who are struggling financially and have a genuine need, BHCS may be able offer assistance through our Fee Assistance Program. Should you require such assistance, please contact schoolfees@bhcs.vic.edu.au to request an application form (please note that there is an application process that is assessed against benchmarked criteria and conditions apply).
SAFETY REMINDER- PLEASE USE THE PEDESTRIAN CROSSING - MT MORTON RD
It has come to our attention that there are some students trying to cross the busy four-lane intersection at the corner of Mt Morton Rd, rather than using the designated pedestrian crossing just a few metres away. This is extremely dangerous and has already led to a number of close calls.
For their safety, and the safety of drivers navigating this area, we ask all students and families to please always use the pedestrian crossing. A few extra steps can make all the difference in keeping everyone safe.
We particularly ask parents and carers dropping off their children on Mt Morton Rd to please remind them about this important safety expectation and encourage them to choose the safe crossing point every time.
PLEASE KEEP NEIGHBOURS DRIVEWAYS CLEAR
We know that traffic backs up around our school during peak drop-off and pick-up times. Unfortunately, this has led to some situations where nearby residents’ driveways are being blocked, preventing them from entering or exiting their properties.
Our school values its relationship with the local community, and we’ve taken steps to try to ease congestion by funding the turning lane at the entrance. We rely on everyone’s cooperation to help things to flow more smoothly.
When waiting to enter the school, especially if you are turning left into the property, please be mindful to leave space for driveways. Avoid queuing across them, even if traffic is busy. These small courtesies make a big difference in maintaining positive neighbourly relationships and help to ensure that everyone can move safely through the area.
PRIVACY POLICY UPDATE
Our Privacy Policy has been updated and now explicitly outlines the use of filtering and monitoring software on the school’s network, including the information that is collected and the reasons why it might be accessed. The Privacy Policy is available from the School’s website or can be accessed by clicking here
CHILD SAFETY - GROOMING
Child grooming’ is the term used when abusers build up trust with children under the age of 18 so they are more likely to respond to requests that can lead to sexual harm. Abusers usually want to persuade children into talking about sex, sending sexual images or videos, or getting sexual in a live chat or video call. When this happens online, it is sometimes referred to as ‘online sexual solicitation.’ They may also arrange to meet the child and harm them physically.
