Executive Principal

As we reach Week 6 of Term 4, it’s a wonderful opportunity to pause and reflect on what has been an outstanding 2025 at Palm Beach Currumbin State High. This time of year is always special as we come together to celebrate the achievements, talents, and dedication of our students across all areas of school life.
Over the coming weeks, we will host a number of important events that recognise the hard work and commitment shown by our students throughout the year. Our Academic Awards Nights will acknowledge excellence in learning, our Arts Awards Night will showcase the creativity and innovation of our talented performers and visual artists, and our Sports Nights will celebrate the determination, teamwork, and success of our athletes.
We also look forward to our Year 9 Semi-Formal, a milestone event marking the transition into senior schooling, and of course, the Year 12 Graduation and Formal — a significant and emotional moment as we farewell our graduating class of 2025.
This year has been filled with growth, resilience, and achievement. Our students have continued to embody the PBC values of excellence, integrity, and community, supported every step of the way by our dedicated teachers, support staff, and families. I extend my sincere thanks to everyone who has contributed to making 2025 such a positive and successful year.
Term 4 is a not a time of school year where we ease into the holidays. Our Year 11s (who have commenced Year 12 work) have an important and heavy assessment schedule. Our 10s need to finish strong with their school work and assessment as the work is critically important for a strong start to senior secondary. Our year 7 to 9 students still have five weeks of school to go with a whole month of learning activities yet to occur prior to their end of year exams. The year 10 to 12 students finishing is not the signal for the year 7 to 9 students to stop attending. We have pushed the junior secondary exams back to make the most of the school year.
