The Preps kicked off Term Four by exploring engineering and design through two fun challenges! At one station, they built towers using playdough and buttons, learning about stability and how to make their structures stand tall without tipping over. At the other, they created paper chains to explore tension and how forces can make designs strong or weak. The children also developed their teamwork skills, working together in a group!
The Year Ones and Twos had an exciting start to the term by learning how to create their own stop-motion animations using the Stop Motion Studio app. They worked in pairs to move toys or figurines a little at a time and took photos to make them appear to move. Students enjoyed experimenting with how small movements and many photos could make their toys look like they were really moving.

‘Tanti Saluti’ From the Italian Room
Hi everyone, there is going to be an Italian day on Friday, the 14th of November at St Joseph's.
The day will start with performances in the hall by all the grades. The students are busy learning songs and poems in class, and it should be a very entertaining assembly.
It will be followed by a variety of activities for the students to enjoy, which are still to be finalised. The students will be in free dress, with an Italian theme.

A huge thank you to the families who purchased the artworks titled ‘Tiny Wonders’ at the Trivia Night. I have a list of student names to accompany these artworks. If you bought the Year 2H artwork or the Prep N artwork, could you please collect the list from the school office. Thank you.
Kindest Regards,
