Prep Pilgrimage Reflection and Faith in Action

Last term, our Prep students from St Joseph’s joined with the Preps from St Mary’s for a special Jubilee Year Pilgrimage. It was a joyful day filled with prayer, song and friendship as our youngest learners explored what it means to walk with Jesus. Together, they celebrated being part of one faith community and the shared journey of the Jubilee Year.

This term, students have been reflecting on their pilgrimage experience and creating “faith footprints” to show how they can continue walking in Jesus’ footsteps each day; through kindness, gratitude and love. Their footprints are now displayed as a beautiful reminder that even our smallest steps can make a big difference in following Christ.

A special mention to Alice in Prep L, who started back this term and didn’t waste any time keeping me on track! With a big smile, she asked why Grace Before Meals hadn’t been read over the PA lately — a gentle (and much-needed!) reminder of how important daily prayer is in our school life. I loved her enthusiasm so much that I invited her to lead our school in Grace Before Meals, and she did a wonderful job! Her joy and confidence helped spark our Year 4 prayer roster back into action, reminding us that even our youngest learners can inspire us to live our faith with energy and heart.
