Principal's Message

Rachel Baker | Principal

Dear Parents,

I recently came across the message below and it really resonated with me. I wanted to share it with our school community as a reminder of the partnership we value so deeply:

"When a teacher reaches out to you, it is because your child matters to us.

We understand that hearing difficult things about your child can feel uncomfortable. But school and parents are not on opposite sides. We are a team.

Your child may come home with one version of the story, but every situation has many layers. Before reacting, we ask you to listen calmly, ask questions and trust that we always want what is best for your child.

Discipline is not punishment. Guidance is not negativity.

Sometimes, the hardest conversations are the most important ones.

Together, let us raise children who are respectful, responsible, honest and kind."

I thank you for your ongoing trust and partnership.

SISTINE CHAPEL EXPERIENCE

On Tuesday, I had the pleasure of joining the Stage 3 students on their excursion to 'The Sistine Chapel Experience' at St Mary’s Cathedral. It was a remarkable opportunity for students to step inside a stunning, immersive re‑creation of Michelangelo’s masterpiece and deepen their understanding of Renaissance art and history. The students were extremely well behaved and moved thoughtfully through each exhibit panel, asking insightful questions and making meaningful connections to their learning. It was a privilege to witness their curiosity and engagement throughout this memorable cultural experience.
