Principal's Report

Multicultural Day
Our Multicultural Festival on Thursday was a wonderful celebration of the rich diversity that makes Belmont High School such a special community. With students from all year levels contributing, lunchtime was transformed into a global experience, with an incredible array of food, cultures and traditions represented from around the world.
It was terrific to see students proudly sharing aspects of their heritage and embracing the opportunity to learn about the cultures of others. The festival not only showcased some delicious food experiences but also highlighted the respect, inclusion and sense of belonging that are such important parts of our school community.
A huge thank you to Ms Simone Buchanan for her outstanding leadership and organisation of the event. Her efforts, along with the contributions of our students, helped create a vibrant and memorable celebration that was enjoyed by all.

Kokoda Trek
In the early hours of Monday morning, 14 Belmont High students, accompanied by Matt Hosking and Erin McKenzie, will depart for the Kokoda Track.
This incredible experience will challenge our students both physically and mentally while providing a unique opportunity to walk in the footsteps of those who served during one of the most significant campaigns in Australia's military history. The resilience, teamwork and determination required to complete the trek will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on all involved.
On behalf of the Belmont High community, we wish our students and staff the very best of luck for their journey. We look forward to hearing about their experiences upon their return.
ATOSS Survey
Over recent weeks, our students have participated in the annual Attitudes to School Survey (ATOSS). This survey provides an important opportunity for students to formally share their thoughts and experiences about life at Belmont High School.
The feedback gathered helps us better understand how students feel about areas such as learning, wellbeing, school connectedness, student voice and the overall school environment. Importantly, the survey gives students a direct voice in shaping the future direction of our school and helps us identify both our areas of strength and opportunities for improvement.
I would like to thank all students who took the time to thoughtfully complete the survey. Their feedback is highly valued and will play an important role in informing our planning and ongoing improvement efforts as we continue striving to provide the best possible learning environment for every student.
