Whats Happening In Drama

The Circus is in town! Year 10 Drama has just finished presenting Circus McGurkus: a dazzling array of circus acts.
Students have been working hard to practice and master circus skills involving juggling, spinning plates, diabolos, devil sticks, hoola hoops and the making of balloon animals. Hilarity ensued as year 10 drama developed their own unique clown personas, performing clowning skits and showcasing their physical theatre prowess. Audiences were also invited on stage as volunteers, joining in with the electrifying experience of being in a circus production. Across all 3 performances, Year 10 drama have worked hard to enthrall, shock and delight KCC audiences.
Year 11 Drama have just completed their study of improvisation, where they created and performed their own original play titled ‘Stress Through the Ages’. They are now conceptualising elements of production for the play ‘Ruby Moon’, including a set design, costume design, poster design. They will also perform a short scene from the play as part of their assessment.
Through improvisation, Year 12 are developing their group performance for the final performance in Term Three. They are also preparing final drafts of their monologues to perform as well.
