Mandarin News…
Continuing from the last two weeks, students across all grades have enjoyed doing varied cultural activities in the Mandarin room.
Foundations enjoyed playing Bolang-Gu, Pellet Drum, outside the classroom.
Grade 1/2 students made the paper dog and snake handcrafts as part of the animal topic for this term, engaging through performance and acting.
Grade 3/4 students practised jackstones to master level 1 and 2 out of 5, which required a lot of practice before getting the hang of it. This allowed students to engage with the activity in pairs or a group of three.
Before and after the camp of Grade 5/6s, they enjoyed a more variety of cultural activities such as Connect 5 (wu zi qi), Chinese puzzles, Jackstones, hack sacks, learning how to hold chopsticks, and knowing the differences between Chinese, and Korean, and Japanese chopsticks and spoons.
