Year 6

Year 6 Graduation

Year 6 Graduation was a wonderful day and night of celebration for our graduating class of 2023. The day began with a graduation lunch in the hall, attended by graduates, teachers and the principal team. During the lunch, students were surprised with video greetings from current and past teachers and Mr Perini and the school captains cut the cake.

Students returned to school in the evening with their guests for the graduation ceremony. The ceremony began with a Welcome to Country by our Koorie Engagement Support Officer, Mark Lumley. Awards were presented by Mr Perini, our State Member for Ashwood, Matt Fregon, as well as specialist and classroom teachers. Congratulations to all our deserving award recipients! Classroom teacher speeches were followed by the presentation of graduation certificates to each graduate and video presentations made by students, staff and parents were enjoyed. The ceremony concluded with a performance of ‘High Hopes’ by the Contemporary Band and Year 6 Choir. After the ceremony, students had a disco in the hall, while guests were invited for refreshments in the library.

We would like to give our sincerest thanks to the parents on the Graduation Committee, Angela, Antonia, Chryssie, Cindy C., Cindy W., Cornel, Karen, Kelly, Lisa, Naheed and Pooja, for their dedication to making Year 6 Graduation possible. Congratulations, class of 2023!
