John XXIII Rowing Club
Dear Families
With the end of the school year upon us, the John XXIII Rowing Club wishes all our rowers and their families an enjoyable holiday and festive season. We also wanted to take this opportunity to share some important information regarding next year’s season.
Registrations for 2024 Season
Usually done by the end of Term 4, this has been delayed whilst the Club awaits changes to our IT platforms that are provided and supported by the College ICT department. All College emails (including our Club’s) are migrating to a new domain name, a project due for completion by mid-December. To avoid losing any registration enquiries or nominations during this period, the Club has been advised to wait until the migration is complete before calling for expressions of interest.
We will email all existing rowers and the 2023 Years 7/8 ‘Learn to Row’ participants to let you know when registrations for the 2024 season are open and will include all the relevant information and the online Registration Form. Stay tuned!

Rowing Fees
After a review by the College finance team, our 2024 Fees have been set at $750, a slight increase from this year.
Seniors: Sculling Skills – January 2024
Jerram and the coaching team are planning to run some early morning water skills sessions for small groups of senior rowers during January. Information about these holiday sessions will be posted on the Stack Team App once details have been finalised.
Training Commencement
February 2024: Land sessions x 2 per week
March 2024: Water Sessions and Land sessions, 3-5 sessions per week
2024 Camp Dates:
The 2024 camp is likely to take place in April, dates are yet to be confirmed. Details will be provided early in Term 1.
Transport
Bus transport to all training and regattas will again be offered to families as per 2023.
We look forward to welcoming new members and seeing you all back on the water in 2024.
