VPC Bonbeach Water Safety Excursion

On Thursday 23rd of December, we travelled to Bonbeach to take part in a Life Saving Victoria multicultural program to teach survival skills in the water. Students were taught by lifeguards who were also from migrant backgrounds and spoke Dari and Pashto. They learnt how to spot a rip, rescue somebody with whatever is available on the beach, using proper flotation devices and how to paddle on a board and float for a period of time. The weather was glorious and students really enjoyed themselves. It was a lovely end to our school year together.
