Book Week - Book An Adventure

Each year across Australia, The Children’s Book Council brings children and books together celebrating Children’s Book Week. This provides us with a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Australian Children’s Literature.

This year we will celebrate Book Week from the 18th - 22nd August (Week 5, Term 3), the theme being “Book An Adventure”.

Our celebrations will begin with a dress up day on Monday 18th August (Week 5). Students may choose to dress up as their favourite book character or dress to the theme ‘Book An Adventure’. Students may stay dressed in their costumes all day if they are comfortable. Please note that the costume does not need to be too elaborate and students are not required to bring the book to accompany their costume.

You are most welcome to join us for a Book Week Parade in the hall at 12:30 pm followed by a BYO picnic lunch. At the end of lunch, students will return to class as normal.
