Message from the Assistant Principals

Welcome Back to Term 3!
We are excited to welcome all our students and families back for Term 3! We hope everyone enjoyed a relaxing and refreshing break and are feeling recharged for another exciting term of learning and growth.
Classrooms have hit the ground running, with students already diving into new learning topics, novel studies, and reconnecting with friends. It’s been wonderful to see the enthusiasm and energy in every classroom as we settle back into routines.
As we begin the term, we would like to remind families of the vital role regular attendance plays in your child’s learning and overall success at school. Every day counts, and consistent attendance ensures students stay connected to their peers, build confidence, and make steady progress in their learning.
This term is shaping up to be a busy and vibrant one, with a range of exciting events, excursions, and learning opportunities planned across all year levels.
Strengthening Teaching Practice
At the heart of our school’s vision is a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning. This term, all teachers are continuing to build their knowledge and capacity around incorporating oral language development and a strong Numeracy focus into daily learning. These focus areas are essential to helping every child grow in confidence, think critically, and communicate effectively—key foundations for lifelong learning.
We are proud of the collaborative work happening across the school to bring our vision to life in every classroom.
Book Week – Alpha Shows Incursion
As part of our Book Week celebrations, we are thrilled to welcome Alpha Shows to our school on Friday, 29th August! Known for their fun and highly engaging performances, Alpha Shows will be bringing the classic tale of Sleeping Beauty to life—complete with music, laughter, and a few surprises along the way.
This is a fantastic opportunity for students to enjoy live theatre and celebrate the joy of storytelling.
- Cost: $10 per student- Payment: Please log in to Compass to complete the incursion payment if you haven’t already.
We would love to see all students involved in this memorable event!
Supporting Reading in Years 3–6
We are proud to share an exciting initiative to further support literacy in our school: every student in Years 3–6 will receive their own copy of the novel to use during class reading sessions this term.
This significant investment ensures that each child can fully engage in their novel study, follow along closely with their peers and teacher, and develop a deeper connection to the text. We're confident this will help foster a lifelong love of reading and strengthen comprehension skills across the board.
We look forward to sharing updates on the wonderful reading journeys happening in our classrooms!
Here’s to a fantastic Term 3 filled with curiosity, creativity, and connection. Thank you for your ongoing support!
Warm regards,
Lach Clydesdale and Meagan Lindberg
