Foundation/Grade 1
We had such a wonderful start to Term 3! Last week we spent time sharing about our holidays, getting back into routines and welcoming our new student, Flynn. Term 3 comes with exciting experiences for the F/1 students including 100 days of school, shoelace incursion, science week, book week, and much more! Thank you to those parents who have volunteered their time to listen to the students read in the mornings.
Grade 2
Welcome back to school to Term 3. We hope your break was both restful and enjoyable. We welcome Noah to our class. He and his brother Flynn have joined the wonderful community of St Joseph’s. We have a shorter term to enjoy together, with some fun learning on the agenda. As part of our Inquiry unit, we will be creating a Puppet Show based on a favourite picture story book. We've already had the opportunity to participate in a Pet Responsibility workshop, with the opportunities to participate in the upcoming Science community learning day, Science excursion and RU OK day events. Please check Seesaw and our school Facebook page for updates and events details. Our curriculum notes will provide detail about our learning this term so please check in with all the details about this term.
Grade 3/4
Welcome back to Term 3. We hope you all had a lovely break and enjoyed some quality family time. It’s been wonderful to see the students return with big smiles—excited to reconnect with their friends and ready to dive into a new term of learning and fun! Here’s a little glimpse of what’s coming up this term:
We also want to remind families about the importance of daily home reading. Just a few minutes each day makes a big difference in building your child’s confidence and reading skills.
For more important dates, please find our curriculum notes attached and don’t forget to follow our school Facebook page for updates and reminders.
Thanks for your continued support – we’re so excited for another amazing term ahead with our wonderful Grade 3 and 4 students!
Grade 5/6
We’re excited to begin what promises to be a fun and productive Term 3. Although this term is a little shorter at just 9 weeks, it will be packed with engaging learning opportunities and new experiences for all students.
Already, the students have really enjoyed getting started with our class novel Tom Appleby: Convict Boy, exploring the story and learning more about Australia’s early history through the experiences of a young convict. In maths, we’ve had a great time working with Cartesian Planes, reading and plotting coordinates — including using all four quadrants to build their understanding of space and position.
We look forward to seeing the students continue to grow, challenge themselves, and give their best across all areas of the curriculum. It’s going to be a busy and rewarding term, and we’re excited to share their Term 3 journey with them.
