Unserious Careers Roadshow

On Wednesday 23rd July our students in Years 10, 11, and 12 had the opportunity to attend the Unserious Careers Roadshow, presented by Alana Kilmartin and funded by the Educational Pathways Program.
Alana shared her personal story, practical advice from her book, and encouraged students to think differently about their future pathways. Her message was clear: career decisions don’t have to be stressful or set in stone—there’s room for curiosity, exploration, and enjoyment.
Her book, which highlights the pressure students face when making big life decisions during high school, takes a refreshing and relatable approach to navigating career choices.
Thanks to the Educational Pathways Program, a copy of Alana’s book has been donated to the Inverell High School library and is now available for students to borrow.
