Exploring the Future of STEM with AVISTA!

On Tuesday 29th July our Year 9 and 10 students participated in the Avista STEM Training and Awareness Program, organised through the Educational Pathways Program.
AVISTA gives students direct insight into careers in STEM and Defence Industries, showing how skills in aviation, robotics, AI and autonomous systems can lead to exciting, high-tech jobs of the future.
Students experienced:
Flight and aviation demonstrations.
Rockets and propulsion systems in action. Autonomous systems and situational awareness technology.
An AI robot dog showcasing robotics and AI in Defence.
The science show wowed students with vortex rings, Bernoulli bags, the Coanda effect, flying toilet paper, and the Whoosh Bottle combustion experiment.
A big thank you to AVISTA for inspiring our students to see where STEM can take them!
