Principal's Report 

 We, at Miners Rest Primary School, would like to acknowledge the Wadawurrung people of the Kulin Nation.

We pay our respects and thank the Wadawurrung people. May we share your land. We promise to look after it, as well as the animals and people too.

Sport Day

A huge thank you to Katherine, Miss Em, our staff and our families for supporting a very important day of fundraising to purchase equipment for our newly developed F-6 Gymnastics Program.

The children looked fabulous today, sporting their active wear and engaging in a Zumba class to launch a very special day of fundraising and fun! The classroom that raises the most money will receive a complimentary gymnastic session. Once again, we thank our families for their generosity and support.

Families are welcome to join us for 'open class sessions' during the final week of the program.

NAPLAN Reports

Individual student reports are waiting at the Administration Office for collection by families. These documents cannot be sent home with students, so collection by a parent at your earliest convenience would be appreciated.

Principals' Day

Sarah Bigmore and myself were thoroughly spoilt last Friday in recognition of School Principal Day nationwide. We received some beautiful handwritten cards, letters, pictures and posters from children across the school. The acknowledgement from our children and staff was incredibly special and greatly appreciated.

As we move quite smoothly through a nine-week term, enjoy the rest of the week.
