2PO

🧑‍🎨2PO Art Showcase 🎨

Step into the artistic world of 2PO, where creative ideas come alive! This year, our students have unleashed their imaginations, exploring new art styles and experimenting with different materials. Their journey has resulted in a vibrant display—filled with expressive brushstrokes, unique textures, and a fusion of colours. Each artwork showcases not just talent and technique, but passion and originality as well. Join us as we honour the artistic achievements of our 2PO students!

Harbour Bridge Painting:

2PO created beautiful paintings of the Sydney Harbour Bridge using a variety of artistic skills. They began by observing real-life images of the bridge to understand its shape, structure, and surroundings. Using drawing skills, they carefully sketched the outline of the bridge with pencils. They explored colour mixing techniques to paint the sky, water, and bridge using paint. They learned to blend colours for the sunset scenes, adding tone to show the movement of the water.  Through this project, students developed their observation, drawing, painting, and fine motor skills. They also practiced using perspective and proportion to make their artworks look more realistic. The final paintings showed each student's creativity and understanding of this iconic Australian landmark.

Foam board Printing

In Term 1, students explored the technique of foam board printing to create beautiful "Under the Sea" themed artworks. First, they used pencils to carefully press their sea creature designs into foam boards, creating textured printing plates. They then rolled paint over their designs and pressed them onto paper to reveal their unique ocean scenes.

Collage Artworks:

2PO students created vibrant collage artworks. They arranged their paper cut outs to form creative images. Each collage is unique and shows the children’s creativity, imagination, and growing confidence in using mixed media.
