STUDENT VOICE

Student Voice in Action – 2168 Children’s Consultation
Three of our student parliamentarians – Rachel, Dylan and Evangeli – proudly represented our school during the holidays by taking part in a special children’s consultation workshop. They joined a small group of young leaders from the 2168 area to share their ideas, listen to others, and help shape a national report called The State of Australia’s Children.
This workshop, run by the Young and Resilient Research Centre at Western Sydney University in partnership with UNICEF Australia, invited children aged 8–11 to speak about what life is like for kids, what helps them feel safe and happy, and how they see the world. Through fun activities like drawing, games and group discussions, our students helped ensure that the voices of children are heard in decisions that impact their lives.
We are incredibly proud of Rachel, Dylan and Evangeli for their thoughtful contributions and leadership. Their involvement is a powerful example of student voice in action!
SRC Fundraiser – Supporting the Miracle Babies Foundation
Our Student Representative Council (SRC) is proudly leading a fundraising initiative to support the Miracle Babies Foundation – a wonderful organisation that helps premature and sick newborns, their families, and the hospitals that care for them.
This is a cause close to many hearts, and our SRC is showing great compassion and leadership by raising awareness and funds to help give every baby the best possible start to life.
Remember to contribute by placing your spare change in the container in your classroom – every cent counts!
Let’s work together to make a big difference for some of our tiniest Australians.
