Alan Peat

Wellbeing Leader

Hello, my name is Alan Peat and I have just started this term as one of the new Student Wellbeing Leaders at Aberfoyle Park High School, within the Wellbeing Team.

During my teaching career I have worked in a number of schools over the past 20 years.  I have been involved in wellbeing over the past 15 years and have a real passion for working to support families and students in the school community.  My role at Aberfoyle Park High School involves a range of activities, including wellbeing for students, timetabling, student leadership, proactive and intervention programs and working with students, staff and parents/caregivers across year 7-12 as a support.  I also teach in the area of design and technology with a middle schooling background.

Going into 2024 as a team we will be further developing Student Leaders to have a voice and be actively involved in Aberfoyle Park High School's community. This will involve and enable students of all year levels to play a greater role in their learning, leadership and the community as well as student activities which gives students access to a wide variety of clubs and activities to enrich their schooling.  As these initiatives continue to grow, I’m sure you will hear much more about what students are up to and in which they engage.

Students can book appointments at Student Services if they would like to speak to me.
