Updates around the college

Assistant Principal P-6

Dear Kyabram P-12 College Community,

As we reflect on the conclusion of Term 3, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your steadfast support and partnership in your child's education. Your unwavering dedication has been instrumental in shaping our college community into the thriving hub of learning it is today.

Important Updates:

I want to take a moment to acknowledge the remarkable efforts of Sue Meeking and Claudia Moore, whose hard work behind the scenes played a pivotal role in ensuring the resounding success of the P-2 Concert AIM HIGH. This event was a joyful celebration that beautifully showcased our students' enthusiastic approach to learning and their eagerness to embrace challenges.

Just last week, our Year 3-6 students took part in a volunteering program that enabled them to connect with the community in a meaningful way. This experience not only made a positive impact on others but also nurtured our students' empathy and sense of responsibility.

Exciting Opportunities:

Our Girls in Science and Mathematics Outreach program has been in full swing, providing students with the opportunity to visit The University of Melbourne. Here, they interacted with accomplished women and graduate students in the Faculty of Science, broadening their horizons and igniting their passion for STEM fields. Additionally, they explored the captivating DARK MATTERS exhibition at the Science Gallery and participated in engaging hands-on activities during the Future Foods workshop.

Another thrilling opportunity that unfolded was the Bogong Outdoor and Environmental Studies program. Our students immersed themselves in cross-country and downhill skiing adventures at Falls Creek. This experience not only enhanced their physical skills but also cultivated teamwork and meticulous planning abilities as they organised their own food and equipment for the trip.

Celebrating Special Moments:

It's worth celebrating the wonderful moments we shared this term, and I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Miss Hurley and Mrs. Fitzgerald for orchestrating the heartwarming Father's Day Breakfast. The turnout was outstanding, and witnessing the special men in our community spending quality time with their loved ones was truly heartwarming. I'd also like to extend my appreciation to all the dedicated staff members who contributed to making this event an unforgettable experience for our students.
