Last week staff and students at Kingswood were treated with a visit from celebrity chefs, Courtney Roulston and Michael Weldon. Courtney and Michael are both former MasterChef contestants and currently hosts of 'Farm to Fork' on Channel 10. They are also both Ambassadors to Coles and the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation and represented both institutions on their visit with us. 

The students were able to cook along side them, learn some tips and tricks and have some fun while preparing a delicious menu. With our beautiful harvest of broccoli, winter greens and lemons these year 6 students prepared rustic Tagliatelle with a broccoli, lemon, and chilli sauce. We fired up the Pizza Oven to make some amazing Rosemary Focaccia, served an orange, fennel and rocket salad and topped it all with some lemon and yoghurt muffins. Absolutely delicious! 

Staff, volunteers, and students alike had an amazing day and I know will have some wonderful memories to share. 

Both Courtney and Michael were blown away by the level of skill they saw in our students and commented on how polite and respectful they were. Well done Year 6!
