Dear Kingswood Community, 

The Year 1 students have been reinforcing their understanding of different types of shape patterns. 

In the background of the artworks are rubbings of repeating, alternating and regular progression patterns. In the foreground, the students learnt about a radial pattern where all the elements are focused on a central point. An artist uses this type of pattern to draw the viewer's eyes towards the middle or a specific aspect of the art.

The students picked up the key elements of creating their radial pattern very quickly and developed some great pieces of art.
