Physical Education

Welcome to Term 4! All classes have started the term with new units:

Prep – Kicking

Grade 1/2 – Striking: exploring how to hit using different types of bats

Grade 3/4 – Striking and Fielding games

Grade 5/6 – Lacrosse

AFL Clinics

This week, we were very lucky to have Alice and Josh from AFL Victoria come out and run football clinics with our students. All students in Prep – Grade 6 enjoyed participating in games and activities to develop, practise or refine their handballing, kicking and marking skills.

Hoop Time

Congratulations to the 80 grade 3/4 students who participated in Hoop Time on Friday the 1st of September. We entered 10 teams, again the most out of any of the schools in our District!

All students displayed great pride and sportsmanship and improved their skills and tactics as the day went on. Special congratulations to our Future Stars team – the Rolling Hills Roosters – who made the semi-finals and finished the day third.

A HUGE thank you to the staff and parent helpers for their coaching, scoring and even some refereeing on the day!

District Athletics

What superstars! In the most horrible weather conditions, our students demonstrated outstanding resilience at the Montrose District Athletics carnival on Friday the 8th of September. Whilst we had to postpone the hurdles and high jump, all other events went ahead with every single student fulfilling their spots. We couldn’t be prouder of you all!

Thanks to Mr V, Miss Pinney and Billy for their help on the day and to all the parents and friends who came along to support Rolling Hills. Special mention to the Brophy family for the hot drinks – they were very much appreciated!

Division Athletics
