The Royal Children’s Hospital runs the Good Friday Appeal, supporting children and families in need. The Good Friday Appeal helps the hospital deliver the best possible care to patients.
For a gold coin donation (via QKR), students can support this day by coming to school on Wednesday, 27 March dressed in their favourite pyjamas. The funds will be donated to the Royal Children’s hospital.
As part of this day, CSPS will be holding an Easter Bonnet Parade on the multipurpose hard court. Students are encouraged to come to school with an Easter bonnet hat so that they can participate in the fun. Parents/ carers are welcome to attend the parade. The parade will begin at 9:15am.
We cannot wait to see what materials you use to help make your Easter bonnet. You can be as creative as you wish. It would be great to see students incorporating recycled materials to hand make their bonnets.
On Thursday the Sustainability and Environment Team headed off on the train to the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show. There was so much to do and see, we headed straight to the Victorian Schools Garden Food Cube. There were lots of free garden based educational kids’ activities, interactive demonstrations, a sustainable scarecrow display and much more, all encouraging kids to explore, learn and grow their passion for gardening, nature and plants. Students got to pot their own plant, dig for veggies, see how a bee hive operates close up and much more.
Thank you to our wonderful volunteers John and Lyn for your support on the day.
