SAKG Garden Specialist
The Year 3 and 4 Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program will commence next week! The Year 3 students will no doubt be very excited to begin this program at MPS, whilst our Year 4 students will be returning to build on and consolidate the skills they developed last year. This program depends on the support of community volunteers to assist with the sessions. This is a very special opportunity for interested adults to connect to the children's learning. Volunteers do not need any special knowledge or experience. They will be given guidance and instruction from our program specialists, and supervise a small group of students, under the guidance of the classroom teacher. We strongly encourage parents, family members and other adults in your child's life to get involved in the program. Who can volunteer? Any interested adult who can find the time to attend the session. What do I need to volunteer? Volunteers require a current Working with Children's Check (or a provisional number while you wait for your card) in order to participate. These can be applied for here. How do I sign up to volunteer at a SAKG class? Volunteers can register for a session, cancel their booking or monitor volunteer numbers using this link: https://signup.com/go/eHTWozo or by visiting the SAKG section of our website. This link is needed to sign up to volunteer, so please consider saving this link address. When Are My Child's Kitchen and Garden Classes?
