ANNUAL SCHOOL PICNIC

Our annual school picnic is a great way to meet new parents and catch up with old friends and expand friendship groups while enjoying a picnic dinner. This picnic is held on the oval.

GET READY, FOR THE MPS COLOUR RUN IS COMING!

Yes, you read right! The Colour Run is returning to MPS in the New Year! Come Wednesday February 28, we will no doubt see some of the biggest smiles we've ever seen as students do a Fun Run in a rainbow of happiness (aka colourful powder). More details will be provided in the coming weeks on how students can fundraise in the lead up to the event.

PREPARATIONS ARE IN FULL SWING FOR THE MPS CARNIVAL

In Term 3 2024, we will be hosting the MPS Carnival. With such an event the more support and contribution from our community, the better. Please see below for a couple of ways you can help over the next few months.

The MPS Carnival | Fundraising

Not only is the school Carnival a great way to engage with our local community, but it also fundraises for our school. The funds raised at the school Carnival will go to improving the outdoor area for our senior students which includes:

  • Create, design and install a play area using the natural environment and materials and
  • Install seating and shade over the seating area.

We are sure our current and future students are going to love this space for many years to come.

To enable us to hold such an event, we need assistance from businesses in the form of donations. A way we can do this is through Good2Give.

Good2Give is a not-for-profit that makes it easier for businesses, their employees and customers to support the communities and causes they care about. They provide innovative technology solutions to help businesses and donors connect. Businesses who have aligned to Good2Give in the past include Toyota, Bank of Melbourne, Qantas, REA Group, PWC, Pandora, Australia Post, Country Road, Bupa and more.

If you are employed by any of the above businesses we would love to connect and work together to approach these businesses to seek donations.

Alternatively if your employer donates to the community where there could be an opportunity to seek donations for the MPS Carnival, we would like to hear from you.

Decluttering these School Holidays?

If decluttering your home is one of your New Year's resolutions, this note is for you...

At the school Carnival we will be holding a Trash & Treasure store for books, preloved toys and children's clothing. We would love it if you can hold onto any of these items you may be disposing of to be used for the store. For items to be sold at the stall, we ask that items are in good or 'like new' condition. More details to come next year.

We wish you and your family a lovely break.
