Principal's Report

Mr Pitt

Dear Parents/ Carers,

Welcome to the final newsletter for 2023. Term 4 is often the busiest, with each week getting busier than the one before - and this trend continued! However, Term 4 is often the most rewarding as teachers report on student achievement and celebrate the academic growth from their class or support group. All staff also get to celebrate their personal goals; reflect on their own learning and begin to consider goals for the following year. Term 4 is also a lot of fun with FAIR Day, FAIR Rewards Day, FAIR Attendance Day and our special assemblies which started in Week 8 with our Sports Assembly and concluded last Friday with the Kindergarten Graduation assembly. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Fairvale staff and our families for your support throughout 2023. It is a pleasure working with everyone connected to our amazing school.

We say a sad farewell to some of our staff this year.

  • Mr George Derband  working at other schools
  • Mrs Sandra Spiteri – retiring

On behalf of the Fairvale community, we say best wishes to you all and thank you for fine contribution to the Fairvale PS learning community.

BIKE VISITS WITH MR PITT

Thank you everyone for another wonderful year of ‘bike’ visits. Spending time talking to the children and teachers about learning is my favourite part of the week. Thank you to the teachers and children for inviting me into their classrooms/outdoor learning spaces this year. I have really enjoyed riding my bike around the school, so I will continue to use this mode of transport in 2024. I am looking forward to visiting everyone again next week.

REPEATED: 2024 ORGANISATION

We are currently organising class structures for 2024 and last week we sent home a note regarding family plans for 2024. If you are returning to Fairvale PS in 2024 you do not need to anything, however, if you are planning on leaving OR returning a little late then we need you to complete the note. If you would like to speak to someone about this, please contact the office.

Children, remember to work hard, listen to your parents and have loads of fun! Being happy is important! On behalf of the staff at Fairvale Public School, I wish all our children and families best wishes for a safe holiday season. It’s been another challenging year, so enjoy this time together with your extended family and friends. For those in our community that participate in Christmas festivities – Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

Stay safe and enjoy the summer vacation.
