YLEAD AUSTRALIAN STUDENT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
STUDENT LEADERS YEAR 12
YLEAD AUSTRALIAN STUDENT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
STUDENT LEADERS YEAR 12
In January we (Otto, Jack, Sofie and Krystal) attended the yLead Australian Student Leadership Conference in Melbourne. Held at University College, the three day conference gave us the opportunity to connect and network with like minded young leaders from schools across Victoria and Tasmania. We learnt some valuable lessons about leadership.
Our first day was spent discovering who we are as leaders and identifying our strengths. The second day of the Conference was spent exploring how to work with teams and conduct groups. We learnt how to hold effective meetings, confidently speak in public settings and positively resolve conflict. Our final day was spent transforming what we had learned into action plans for school events we hope to introduce or alter throughout the year.
We would like to thank the yLead team for putting together this amazing opportunity for us young leaders, and our school for providing their support and generosity in allowing us to attend this event. We are all extremely grateful for having this wonderful opportunity. We are looking forward to putting our learning from the conference into action this year in our leadership.
