WELLBEING REPORT

DIRECTOR OF WELLBEING

The Wellbeing Team extends a warm welcome to the 2024 school year. We trust that this year holds numerous positive experiences for our students. Our dedicated team is here to provide essential support to your child in navigating any personal challenges they may encounter. Our overarching goal is to cultivate a nurturing and inclusive environment that fosters the thriving development of our students.

We are privileged to have Peta Goodman, our psychologist, available two days a week, along with Jorgie Allen and Gemma Phelan serving as our student counsellors. Their expertise is instrumental in addressing the diverse needs of our student body.

In collaboration with The Resilience Project, we are excited to implement their resilience-building model in the Wellbeing classes for Year 7 and Year 8 students. This curriculum not only equips students with valuable skills but also encourages a strong home-school connection. We will regularly share insights and resources through our newsletter and social media platforms to facilitate this connection, aiming to enhance both educational achievement and student wellbeing outcomes.

Should you identify an opportunity for your child to benefit from Wellbeing assistance, please feel free to reach out to me at the school on 03 5032 9771 or via email at mmccallum@mackillopsh.vic.edu.au. Your proactive involvement is key to collectively fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere for our students.
