YEAR 5

Welcome to 2024!

Year 5 has kicked off the year in ‘The Zone’ with some exciting hands-on learning tasks. Students began learning about tectonic plates with a tasty treat, using Oreos to show how different movements of the tectonic plates can cause natural disasters. 

The fun continued in Mathematics as students modelled three-dimensional objects using clay and were able to experiment with cutting cross-sections. 

There are many exciting events ahead this term, including Year 5 ‘Wonder Day’ at the completion of our novel study to celebrate kindness and inclusion among our peers, and we even get to watch the movie!

The Year 5 team are looking forward to a bright and busy year of learning with the future leaders of our school.
