As we embark on this exciting journey into the new term, it brings us immense pleasure to extend a warm welcome to our new staff members who have joined our family here at Diamond Valley College. Our classroom teachers, education support staff and administration team are the most valuable assets for our students’ learning. Across the year our newsletter will feature initiatives to introduce our staff. We encourage all students, parents, and carers to take the opportunity to greet our new team members and welcome them into our school community. In addition to welcoming new staff, it is important to emphasize parental and carer engagement in their child's education. Parents and carers play a pivotal role in the academic journey of their children, and consistent bodies of evidence indicate your involvement can greatly enhance their learning experience.
Here are a few questions parents and carers can ask their young people to spark meaningful conversations about their education:
By asking these questions and engaging in dialogue with your child about their education, you not only show your support but also gain a deeper understanding of their learning journey and aspirations for their future.
