VIT News – Teacher Registration

The Education and Training Reform Act 2006 requires all teachers in Victoria to obtain registration or permission to teach (PTT) from the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) before they are engaged to teach.   It is incumbent upon principals to ensure that all prospective and current teaching employees have the required registration with the VIT.

The Institute is offering free webinars for Principals to understand the importance of teacher registration and your obligations as an employer, including using the Employer portal, PTT requirements and useful resources.
