To our wonder school community,
Welcome back! It is with great joy and enthusiasm that I extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you as we embark on a new school year at St. Brigid's School. I hope this message finds you well and refreshed after the holiday season.
First and foremost, I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to Paula, Jason, Michaela, and the entire school staff for their unwavering support during my absence. The past months have been a time of incredible personal and professional growth for me as I embarked on a renewal leave in Belgium and subsequently took on the role of School Performance Leader at our head office. Both experiences have provided invaluable insights that I am eager to share with our school community.
I am especially grateful to Ms. Paula Burns for stepping into the leadership role during my absence. Her dedication and efforts in organising the upcoming building project, set to commence this year, have been truly commendable. I am looking forward to collaborating with her and the building team as we work towards enhancing our school environment.
Over the past weeks, our staff has been diligently preparing for the upcoming academic year. As we embrace the return to routine, I am excited to reconnect with familiar faces and extend a warm welcome to new students who have joined us in my absence. It is my sincere desire to get to know each student personally and foster a positive and nurturing learning environment.
I would like to take this opportunity to inform you that Ms. Leia Sparkman is no longer with St. Brigid's School as she has accepted a position at Xavier College as their enrollment officer. We wish her the best in her new role and thank her for her contributions to our school. As we bid farewell to Ms. Sparkman, we have appointed Ms. Jacquie Smith to our Administration Officer role. Many of you will know Ms. Smith as she has been working in our school as a Curriculum Educational Support Officer. Ms. Mardi Ruediger has been appointed to support Ms. Smith and begin in our school library.
On a positive note, I am delighted to introduce several new members to our school community. Ms. Rebecca McPherson has joined us as our Year 3/4 teacher, and we welcome Ms. Mardi Ruediger, Lily Scales, Nathan Venour, Danny Nguyen, and Lorelai Smith as Educational Support Officers (ESOs). Their expertise and enthusiasm will undoubtedly contribute to the vibrant and enriching learning environment at St. Brigid's School.
As we commence this new school year, let us embrace the opportunities for growth, learning, and community building. I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and am confident that, together, we will make this academic year a memorable and successful one.
Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to a fantastic year ahead!
Kind regards,
Shannon Correll
