TERM 1

Welcome back everyone to 2024!  We have had a very smooth start to the year with all Grade 1-6 students starting back yesterday and our Foundation students commencing tomorrow.  It has been great to hear the buzz of excited children in their classrooms and playground.  

 

We welcome many new families and students:  All of our Foundation students who start tomorrow; Amy (5/6B); Emily (5/6B); Arnika (5/6C); Sumlian (3/4Y); Esther and Mason (3/4E); Claudette (2K); Mathias and Rose (2R); and Charlie (1M).  We are so happy to have you here at Mullum Primary School and look forward to getting to know you all.   We also welcome a new staff member, Tamara Molnar working in Grade 1, welcome Tamara.

Daily Timetable for 2024

We have moved to hour long blocks of time during the school day.  The timetable will be the following:

You are very welcome to come on site and meet your children somewhere in the playground. Please arrange a place to meet your child at the end of the day.

 

Accessing Compass

Compass is our student management system and provides families with a wealth of information, including the following, but also so much more:

  • School Newsletters
  • School Reports
  • Attendance data
  • Excursions and Camps
  • Newsworthy items from school

Compass can be accessed on your mobile phone and is the place to put in information about your child's absence from school. 

 

 

Extra, Optional Activities

As we start off the year we would like to remind all families that there are some optional activities for children to participate in throughout the week.  These are a user pay option that needs numbers to run.  Check out the "Optional Activities at MPS" page in the newsletter for more details but here is a list(so far):

  • Tennis - Wednesday lunchtimes
  • Chess - Tuesday lunchtimes
  • Keyboard
  • Guitar
  • Percussion (when we have been able to secure a new teacher)
