Amazing Music Success

As unusual as it is to highlight an individual’s success in this newsletter, I think you’ll understand – when you read the article – why we are congratulating Alice Giang, now in Year 6, for her remarkable success in music performance during our summer holiday break.

To provide context, last year, Alice participated in an American (US) strings competition and won a prize.

The prize was to perform at the Winners Recital at Carnegie Hall in New York!

It was such an incredible opportunity for her to perform her solo at one of the most prestigious music halls in the world! Alice and her family travelled to New York in January so that she could participate in the recital. What an extraordinary achievement for Alice!

This is not all that Alice has been doing, musically, in recent times. Alice was also the leader, as concert master, of a local youth symphony orchestra that when to Beijing recently.

One of their performances was recorded for a TV program – the 2024 National Children’s Spring Festival Gala. This will be broadcast simultaneously through China Education Television, Central New Film Middle School Student Channel, CCTV and New Media Matrix during the time of the Chinese Spring Festival.

As her mum so clearly expressed,

We are so thankful to God and pray that Alice's talent continues to bring glory to Him!
