Dear Families,
We are on the final countdown with only two more days left of the 2023 school year. Students will be finishing this Friday 15 December, at the usual time of 3:20pm.
Year Six 2023
We congratulate the following Year Six students for completing their primary schooling:
Liam, Evie, Rani, Summer, Hudson, Charlie, Nate, Atlas, Sonny, Alistar, Pia, James, Renee, Willow, Parker, Jack, Jimmy, Lachlan, Sammi, James M, Isabelle, Harrison, Elizabeth and Eliza
We wish them every success as they embark on their secondary schooling.
We also say farewell and thank you to the following families who are finishing at St Joseph's School this year: Bernadas, Heath, Hegarty, Jeffs, Jones, Kearney, Kloszynski, Rowe, Barbounis, Dunwoodie, Henke, Irwin, McDonell, Walker and Bell.
We wish the Bell Family every happiness in their new home and school in Melbourne.
We will farewell the Year Six students at a final assembly tomorrow at 12:30pm.

First Day 2024
School will resume for all students in 2024 on Tuesday 30 January. The Preps will be having shortened days for the first week.
If you have any concerns or questions during the extended break, please email office@sjsorrento.catholic.edu.au as this will be checked regularly.
The school day will commences at 8:55am and will finishes at 3:20pm.
School Bus Service
Ventura Bus Lines will be running our before and after school bus service in 2024. They will begin on Tuesday 30 January. We will send an Operoo during the holidays with any possible changes to the service.
We have recently completed our four year School Improvement Plan. We look forward to sharing more details with you in the new year. Our strategic intent for the next four years is to enhance professional practice through informed data literacy that will maximise student engagement and learning that extends across the school community.
Thank you to each and everyone of you this year for your partnership and support. It has been a huge year of learning for us all.
So much to look forward to next year but a well deserved holiday for everyone beforehand. I wish you all a Christmas Season full of joy, peace, hope and love. May the new year bring you all you hope for.
