From the Principal
Welcome to the final newsletter of the term!
Our new STEM building planning is now underway, with our library and ICT rooms being vacated over the past few weeks. The library has moved into Room 1 - opposite the staff room, which while compact, has managed to fit most of our books! We are not yet sure if library lessons will be in the new temporary library or in classrooms - we will try both options next term and see which one works best for the different cohorts. The rest of the move (year 1 classrooms) will take place at the end of the year, with our 2026 Year 1 students having different classrooms for the year.
Thank you to the JSC for their organisation of PJ Day last week - it was enjoyed by all students and teachers! Thank you to Mrs Coulson and Miss Tiernan for working with the JSC in the organisation of the event. Thank you to our community for joining in - we raised $577.50 for The Pyjama Foundation. Thank you also goes to Mr Moore and the Foundation teachers for our Father's Day Breakfast last week.
A quick reminder that Parent Teacher Interviews are on next week. If you haven’t already, please take a moment to book a time to meet with your child’s teachers — it’s a great opportunity to celebrate progress and discuss next steps in learning.
Don't forget that next Friday (19th) we’ll be holding our first Golden Wristband draw! Make sure you purchase your wristband to be in the running for an exciting upgrade.
Our Parent Opinion Survey is still open and we would really appreciate it if you could please find the compass post and follow the links to have your say. The information you provide helps guide us with our long term planning.
Finally - Thank you to everyone for an amazing term here at OGPS - take care over the holiday period and we look forward to seeing you all for a fun packed and busy Term 4
