Firefighters visit Foundation

Recently, our Foundation students had a visit from the local firefighters. They learnt the important safety tip to "crawl down low and go, go, go" in case of a fire.

The students were also treated to a close-up look at the fire engine and even had the opportunity to try using the fire hose themselves! It was an exciting and educational experience that the children will remember.

Disco Fun

A big thank you to Footsteps Dance Company for hosting our school disco! We also extend our thanks to all the staff and parents who assisted on the night. The students had an amazing time singing, dancing, and enjoying the disco lights. Great memories shared with friends!

Pen pal letters

Our Grade 1 and 2 students were excited when they received their pen pal letters from Madagascar!

Students who wrote from St Joseph Mbelenboka ranged from 4-15 years old. They shared pictures, their favourite food and types of animals they have as pets.

This experience was an enriching one where our students learnt about cultures and empathy whilst also using their writing and reading skills.

Visual Arts

Recently in art class, creative Year 2 students have made very cute hammerhead sharks using paper plates and coloured paper.

In Foundation students have used oil pastels to cover their paper with solid colour. Then the pages were painted with black paint. When the paint dried, students were able to "draw" by scraping the paint away to reveal colour.
