Principal's Message

Dear Holy Family Parents and Carers,

Welcome Back to Term 4!

I hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable break, and you’re all ready for the exciting term ahead. This term promises to be filled with wonderful learning opportunities, engaging activities, and community events as we move toward the end of the school year.

With the fresh updates to our school facilities, including the new carpet and vinyl flooring, the school looks fantastic and is ready for action. I encourage everyone to make the most of this final term—whether it’s through academic progress, involvement in school programs, or building friendships.

Welcome to the Kotaki family, Jun in Year 3 and Ryushiro in Year One! Welcome also to Jayden Hu in Year Two. It's wonderful to have new students join our school community. I know you will make these students, and their families feel very welcome.

Year 1 - Ryushiro Kotaki

Year 2 - Jayden Hu

Year 3 - Jun Kotaki

During the break, we celebrated two wonderful weddings. Congratulations to Ruth Bartos, our wonderful sports teacher on her recent wedding to Matteo. She will return to Holy Family on Friday the 25th as Mrs Coco. Our second wedding, Ryan Lockard from Catholic Care OOSH and Sarah were married last week. We wish Ruth, Ryan and their spouses abundant blessings as they embark on their new journeys together. We may have a baby before Friday!

We are thrilled to announce that Chris Knapman and his wife Nancy welcomed a beautiful baby boy Rhys Craig into the world on Monday. Congratulations to the Knapman family on this joyous occasion. We wish them all the happiness and blessings as they begin this new chapter in their lives.

Zing Activ Interschools Challenge – A Huge Success!

Recently, 76 students from Year 3 to Year 6 participated in the Zing Activ Interschools Dance Challenge at Homebush, and it was an absolute fabulous time! The energy and excitement were contagious as our students showcased their fantastic dancing skills, teamwork, and enthusiasm. Everyone had a brilliant time, and it was wonderful to see the joy on their faces.

A special congratulations to our incredible teachers, who took part in the Teachers' Dance Competition and emerged as champions! What a fantastic effort! The teachers' win added to the fun and spirit of the night. Well done to all our students, staff, and families for making this event such a memorable experience!

Facilities Update – New Carpet and Vinyl Installation

I am excited to share that during the recent school holidays, we completed some much-needed facilities upgrades. New carpet and vinyl flooring have been installed across various classrooms, library and the administration areas giving our learning spaces a fresh, vibrant feel. These updates are part of our ongoing commitment to providing a clean, organised environment for our students and staff.

The new flooring not only enhances the look of the school but also improves safety and comfort for everyone. A big thank you to our CSBB maintenance team for ensuring the work was completed on time, ready for the start of Term 4!

CSPA Student Wellbeing and Learning Survey

CSPA (Catholic Schools Parents Australia) is looking forward to hearing from parents with children at Catholic Schools: pre-primary, primary and secondary schools.

This CSPA national survey aims to collect evidence from a broad sample of parents/carers of children attending Catholic schools in Australia about existing and emerging affirmations and/or challenges they may have in relation to their child/children’s wellbeing and learning.
